The turkey disguise school assignment is pretty popular, and I’ve seen some really cool disguises over the years. This week, Titus had the opportunity to disguise his turkey, and I wanted to make it easy for him to do it himself and have fun.
Titus isn’t a huge fan of arts and crafts, but I always try to get him involved in different activities. I didn’t want to put too much effort into the disguise, so I rummaged through my craft cupboard for some textured items. We decided to use pompoms and came up with the idea of a gumball machine.
To help Titus out, I used hot glue to outline the turkey’s head and make it 3D. Normally, I would use puffy paint, but I didn’t want to wait for it to dry. Then, I found some red paper and cut out the shape, which I ran through a press to give it a corrugated look. I glued the base down, and Titus started sticking the pompoms onto his turkey.
With a bit of patience and a few adaptations, Titus managed to cleverly conceal his turkey while also showcasing some impressive independent skills.
