Discovering Trolls: A Family Adventure

Explore the world around you with a sense of curiosity and adventure. As a teacher, I am fortunate to have the same summer schedule as my children, allowing us to embark on exciting journeys together. To break free from the monotony, we make it a point to go on weekly adventures.

I started our adventure traditions for several reasons: to get out of the house, to try new experiences, to make sure my boys have a great time, and to help my son, Titus, step out of his comfort zone. One memorable summer, we set out on a quest to find six trolls and three portals created by Danish artist Thomas Dambo using recycled materials.

Following the clues provided, we navigated through challenging terrain to locate each troll. The final troll, known as the Golden Rabbit, proved to be the most difficult to reach. Despite steep hills and thick brush, we persevered and successfully completed our scavenger hunt. We refused to let the unknown or treacherous terrain deter us from our goal.

I encourage you to step outside your comfort zone. Try new things. Fully embrace all that life has to offer. Get out there, explore, and make the most of every moment.
